About me

You can read about my credentials here, but most importantly, I am just a fellow photographer making my way through running a business. In the past, I wasted a lot of time and a LOT of money. I've finally figured out how to stop buying useless stuff, and how to start serving my clients best. I would love to share my findings with you! 

Prior to actually starting the workshop, we will get to know each other. I will review your portfolio and website on a first-come, first-served basis. The group sizes are small, so we will have plenty of time to get to know each other.

During the first part of the workshop, we will go back to the drawing-board. It's easy to get overwhelmed by things like social media marketing, branding, promotions, SEO, blah, blah, blah. NONE OF THAT MATTERS until you dial in a few things. Together, we are going to explore:

1. Why start Your business?

You are going to be given A LOT of information in a short amount of time. It's easy to get overwhelmed, and this will help you down the road. Just look at one item at a time, and you'll get there before you know it!

Part two is the one EVERYONE struggles with. Pricing your services. We will hold nothing back when it comes to:
Determining how much to charge
Creating a pricelist (and sticking to it!)
Setting sales goals (and how to reach them)
What to avoid when creating a pricelist


I will also have lots of examples of what works and what doesn't. By the time you are done with this workshop, you will know exactly what attracts clients and what repels them.

Part three is my fave. It deals with everything you need to know to actually find clients and keep them happy. Now that you are comfortable with your decision to make money and have a solid price list, we get to discuss:

This is not a time for me to listen to myself talk. It's fully interactive with plenty of time to discuss ideas and concerns. I do not have all of the answers, but I am okay with that. If there is anything I cannot answer, we will find a solution together.

Q: Will there be lunch provided? Or should I pack one?

A: Of course I will feed you! Since this workshop is jam-packed though, we will eat and talk. Hope you don't mind me talking with my mouth full. 

Q: What's the parking situation at Studio Bella's like?

A: There is gated parking at the studio. ONE TIME all those spots filled up, and we had some people park on the street. But there are plenty of spaces, and no meters.

Q: I don't have a pricelist yet. Is that okay?

A: It is definitely okay. In fact, it's ideal. Many photographers make pricelists (or copy one for someone who) has no idea how to price their work. This is all about putting real thought into your pricing and making something that will work for YOU.
